Estimator - Commercial Fit outs & New Build Projects Location: Brisbane, QLD Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $120,000 to $140,000 DOE About the Role We are seeking a skilled and experienced Estimator to join a leading Brisbane-based construction company. This role offers the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including fit outs and new builds across various sectors. (Education, government, healthcare, hospitality, commercial, leisure, aged care etc.) Key Responsibilities Cost Estimation: Prepare accurate and detailed cost estimates for commercial fit out and new build projects ranging from $200K to $10M. Tender Preparation: Assist in the preparation of tenders and submissions, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with clients, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to gather necessary information and ensure accurate pricing. Program Management: Utilize estimating software, preferably CostX, to develop and manage project budgets and timelines. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and provide recommendations to mitigate them, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. Reporting: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management on the status of estimates and tenders. About You To be successful in this role, you will need: Experience: A minimum of 3 years' experience in estimating for commercial fit out and new build projects. Software Proficiency: Experience with estimating software, with a preference for CostX. Sector Knowledge: Experience working across new-build and fit out construction. Qualifications: Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
