About the Role: As a Merchandise Planner, you’ll be instrumental in driving commercial performance through strategic forecasting, inventory management, and data-led decision making. You’ll collaborate closely with Buying, Allocation, and Supply Chain teams to maximise sales, mitigate risk, and ensure the right product is in the right place at the right time. Key Responsibilities: Develop and manage seasonal merchandise financial plans in collaboration with Buying and Planning teams Analyse sales trends, stock turns, markdowns, and margin performance to optimise product performance Forecast demand and plan inventory flow to ensure stock is in the right place at the right time Manage Open-to-Buy (OTB), intake, and replenishment strategies Support in building category and assortment plans, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives Monitor and respond to trade performance, identifying risks and opportunities Provide actionable insights and post-season analysis to inform future strategies Partner with key stakeholders including Buying, Allocation, and Marketing to execute planning initiatives Ensure data integrity across planning systems and reports Contribute to continuous improvement of planning tools and processes Skills & Experience: 3–5 years’ experience in merchandise planning role, in a retail environment Strong numerical, analytical, and Excel skills Experience working with planning systems such as JDA, SAP, Arthur, or similar Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Commercial mindset with a strong understanding of product lifecycle and trading rhythms Proactive, detail-oriented, and highly organised Why you’ll love it here: Be part of a high-energy, commercial planning team Access to real-time sales insights and trend forecasting tools Opportunity to influence rapid collections and see your designs in-store quickly Supportive, inclusive culture with room to grow Staff discounts, team events, and perks that celebrate creativity If you’re ready to take the next step in your planning career or would like to discuss the role confidentially, please reach out to Toni Prentice at toniprentice@jivaro.com.au .
