The Role As Energy Engineer, you will be responsible for conducting detailed energy audits, assessing system performance, modelling renewable energy systems, and supporting the delivery of retrofitting and clean energy projects. You will engage with project stakeholders and implementation teams to ensure accurate engineering analysis and energy-saving recommendations. This role requires fluency in international energy standards and hands-on knowledge of energy modelling, solar PV design, electrical schematics, and verification protocols under IPMVP. Prior experience working on Tarshid-led or government energy retrofit projects is essential. Key Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive energy audits of public buildings, facilities, and infrastructure in accordance with ASHRAE and local standards. Analyse building energy performance and identify cost-effective retrofit and renewable solutions. Develop and simulate solar PV designs using PVsyst, Helioscope, and relevant tools. Produce technical drawings and electrical schematics using AutoCAD. Evaluate HVAC, lighting, and envelope systems for energy optimisation potential. Prepare M&V plans aligned to IPMVP protocols and contribute to savings verification processes. Support implementation planning and technical supervision of energy efficiency upgrades. Collaborate with internal teams and external contractors to ensure technical compliance and delivery. Prepare detailed engineering reports and investment-grade proposals. Ensure all technical deliverables align with Tarshid programme guidelines and ESCO project frameworks. Contribute to continuous improvement and best-practice methodologies in audit, design, and delivery. Skills and Experience Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and/or Certified Energy Auditor (CEA) credentials required. CMVP certification preferred with applied experience in M&V planning and IPMVP reporting. Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Energy Engineering, or related discipline. 5 years’ experience in energy audits, energy modelling, and renewable energy system design. Hands-on proficiency in PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD. Experience working with ESCOs, EPC contracts, or government retrofit projects in KSA. Strong analytical, documentation, and reporting skills using MS Excel and engineering toolsets. Fluent understanding of ASHRAE standards, Saudi Building Code, and SEC grid connection requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; Arabic language skills desirable but not required.
