Overview This position will support the development, engineering, and execution of large-scale solar PV installations across the UAE. The role spans the full project lifecycle, with responsibility for coordinating design, overseeing technical delivery, and managing key aspects of installation, commissioning, and compliance. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience in delivering PV systems, a solid grasp of electrical and renewable energy engineering principles, and familiarity with the region’s regulatory landscape. Key Responsibilities Provide engineering support across the full lifecycle of solar PV projects from planning to commissioning. Review system layouts, technical drawings, and documentation to ensure alignment with project specifications and authority requirements. Support field activities during project execution, including installation quality, safety compliance, and contractor coordination. Manage technical submissions for grid connection and permitting with ADDC, TRANSCO, or other regulatory bodies. Perform system simulations and design optimisation using PVsyst, Helioscope, and AutoCAD. Coordinate with project stakeholders, subcontractors, and suppliers to meet delivery milestones. Contribute to testing, commissioning, and handover procedures, ensuring systems perform to design. Support project scheduling and reporting alongside project management and construction teams. Identify technical risks and assist in the resolution of design and site execution challenges. Candidate Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or related technical discipline. Minimum 4–6 years of engineering experience in the solar PV or renewable energy sector. Proficient in PV design software (e.g., PVsyst, Helioscope) and drafting tools (e.g., AutoCAD). Experience in UAE-based solar projects and familiarity with utility interconnection processes. Good understanding of inverters, modules, BoS components, monitoring systems, and performance parameters. Knowledge of UAE regulatory codes, grid connection processes, and HSE compliance. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across multicultural project environments. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary delivery team. Fluency in English (spoken and written); Arabic is beneficial but not essential. Must be UAE-based or able to relocate immediately with valid work authorisation.
