About the role As Head of Early Learning, you will lead with integrity and vision, fostering a team culture grounded in care, professionalism, and continuous improvement. Your ability to mentor and inspire others will enhance the experience of children, educators, and families alike. Key responsibilities include: Providing pedagogical leadership across the centre Leading reflective practice, planning, and curriculum development Mentoring and managing a team of educators and early childhood teachers Overseeing compliance, assessment and rating readiness, and child safety Partnering with school leadership and families to support holistic transitions Representing the early years in whole-school collaboration and planning What we are looking for You are a strong and experienced early years leader with the confidence and capability to lead a high-quality, values-aligned learning environment. Your toolkit includes: A Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or an ACECQA-approved equivalent (e.g. Diploma leadership experience) Demonstrated leadership in an early learning or long day care setting Deep understanding of the VEYLDF, EYLF V2.0, NQF, and child safety regulations Experience with Assessment & Rating, and leading Quality Improvement Plans Outstanding interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills A demonstrated capacity to foster respectful, nurturing relationships with children, families, and staff A leadership style that balances warmth, accountability, and vision Ready to take the next step?
