This is a Hands on, proactive and mechanically minded role, commencing on a casual basis, transitioning into a full-time, permanent role. Key Responsibilities include Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery, ensuring tasks are completed in line with system requirements and documented accurately. To carry out start up checks on machinery throughout the plant on a daily basis. Ensure that all breakdowns are rectified swiftly and safely at all times. Ensure that all servicing and maintenance throughout the site is done in an efficient and safe manner Repairs, servicing and maintenance of machinery. To implement and follow the preventative maintenance schedule. To ensure that records are completed. The successful applicant must have Trade Qualified Mechanical/Maintenance Fitter. Have experience with manufacturing production machinery, ideally within the steel bending / cutting sector or a solid understanding of this type of machinery Good Technical Ability: Able to interpret and understand mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic drawings and geometry, mechanical hands on ability and taking accurate measurements (Vernier, measuring tape, protractor) Lead the overall maintenance effort. Maintain good maintenance disciplines and seek opportunities to increase the visibility and standards of spare parts and inventory control as well as developing and or following scheduled maintenance and preventative strategies to maximise the uptime of equipment and the readiness of spare parts Ability to problem solve, fault find and run diagnostics on production machinery Able to work under time pressure of a production environment. Able to work autonomously and in a team environment.
