Not-for-Profit salary packaging offered. What does the role involve? In the Caritas model, this role is titled Community Partnerships Resource Specialist. This is a newly created role reporting to the Associate Director, Community Partnerships, you will lead the research, design and development of innovative resources that engage schools, parishes, and communities across Australia. Your work will help deepen understanding of Catholic Social Teaching and inspire meaningful action through our key campaigns, including Project Compassion. Key responsibilities will include (but not limited to): Design and develop engaging educational, liturgical, and professional development resources aligned with Catholic Social Teaching for diverse audiences across schools, parishes, and communities. Lead the creation of impactful materials for the Project Compassion campaign, including curriculum-aligned content and faith-based resources. Develop resources that support and grow Catholic Earthcare Communities, with a focus on integral ecology and ecological justice. Contribute to blog posts, social media content and strategic messaging to support Caritas Australia’s mission and Catholic identity. This role can be based in Sydney or Melbourne and will work a hybrid model, including two days in the office per week. Who are we looking for? The successful candidate will have a deep commitment to Caritas Australia’s mission to end poverty and injustice by promoting human dignity for all, as well as a dedication to the principles of Catholic Social Teaching that guide our global efforts. They will have a mix of the following qualifications, skills and experience: 3–4 years’ experience developing high-quality, engaging educational and liturgical resources for diverse audiences, with a strong writing ability and an understanding of curriculum and faith-based contexts. A creative and solutions-focused mindset, with initiative and autonomy in managing multiple projects and delivering to tight deadlines. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and an ability to design interactive and visually engaging content using various platforms and media. A passion for social and ecological justice, with a commitment to lifelong learning and the ability to write through a Catholic lens, including prayers, liturgies, and content aligned with Catholic Social Teaching.
