About the Role We’re on the lookout for a crew of hands-on workers and operators to join a high-performing regional infrastructure team based in Dubbo NSW . These are dynamic roles suited to experienced Labourers , MR/HR Drivers, Plant Operators, Carpenters, Road Workers, Linemarkers, Signposters, Site Supervisors, Storeperson, Traffic Signal Technician, Project Quality Reps, Work Assistant and Rail Protection Officers (ARTC) . The work involves bridge maintenance, infrastructure projects and road upgrades across rural NSW, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. You’ll be involved in varied site work ranging from equipment operation and manual labour to site supervision, quality assurance, and traffic management. Living-away-from-home allowances are provided, and you’ll be travelling with a stable crew across project sites. $40-$50/hour super (pay rate varies for different positions) 8.5 hours/day, 76 hours/fortnight, 9-day fortnight Leaving away from home and OT might be required (accommodation allowances provided) Contract length: 6 months, potential for extension depending on the project. Key Responsibilities Operate heavy and light plant machinery on worksites Perform general labouring, including site preparation, material handling, and cleanup Execute road and bridge construction and upgrade tasks, including bitumen work and pothole repairs Carry out bridge maintenance and structural repairs Install and maintain road signage and linemarking as required Supervise work crews and contractors on-site where applicable Ensure quality compliance and maintain site safety records Conduct traffic control and follow traffic management plans Carry out stock and inventory duties in depot locations (Storeperson roles) Provide rail protection in ARTC corridors (Rail Protection Officers) Support electrical or signalling maintenance on road infrastructure (Traffic Signal Techs) Understand and implement HSEQ framework across operations, ensuring compliance, minimising risks and promoting safety (Project Quality Rep/Work Assistant/HSE Advisor) Travel with the crew to regional sites, adhering to safety and operational protocols Follow WHS procedures and promote a culture of safety and accountability About You Previous experience in infrastructure, roadworks, civil construction or asset maintenance HR or MR licence (desirable for driver/operator roles) Competency tickets for plant operation, traffic control, and Workers n Foot are advantageous Strong awareness of workplace safety and compliance Physically fit, reliable, and willing to work in changing outdoor conditions Able to work independently or in teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders Some roles require camping away from the depot For technical and supervisor roles: experience in quality assurance, site supervision, or trade qualifications is highly regarded Must have full Australian working rights – Citizen, PR, or valid long-term visa holders only A satisfactory police check is required (can commence before clearance, subject to termination if adverse findings arise) As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
