POSITION Carpenter PURPOSE OF THE POSITION To perform skilled carpentry work, including the construction, repair, and maintenance of high-quality woodwork, furnishings, and fixtures throughout the palace. The Carpenter ensures that all wooden structures and decorative elements meet the standards of precision, luxury, and durability expected in a royal environment QUALIFICATIONS /CERTIFICATION /LICENSES Completion of a relevant finish carpentry training program or apprenticeship or at least five years of carpentry experience EXPERIENCE 5 years' work experience Experience with manual or power tools, such as drills, planes, sanders, jointers, nail guns, hand planes, and chop saw. KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE Perform finish and trim carpentry work according to plans and specifications Measure, cut, and install various fixtures and millwork for doors, windows, ceiling panels, staircases, decking, furniture, etc. Erect scaffolding or ladders as needed Collaborate with supervisors to complete projects Give estimate of raw materials required for a project Skilled in reading and interpreting construction plans or drawing. Troubleshoot and repair issues with building components and equipment Follow established regulations and advocate for safety on each worksite Able to care for the property, protecting the area around the worksite and contain the work to the designated area Great attention to detail Exceptional teamwork, communication and collaboration skills Adheres to and ensures team adheres to workplace safety policies, procedures and practices.
