The Role Our clients manage a rural livestock enterprise situated along the charming Maranoa River, just outside Mitchell, Queensland. With two strategically located properties, they are committed to crossbred beef breeding, focusing on enhancing the quality and productivity of their herd. As a station hand, you can access live-in quarters located on the main property, 16 km south of Mitchell. Your responsibilities will include overseeing both properties and the livestock. This role involves various tasks such as welding, general workshop duties, fence repairs, cattle handling, water and lick runs, weed and pest control, basic machinery operation, and general maintenance. Previous experience in station work is highly valued for candidates who are passionate about the industry and eager to be part of a family-owned business. This position is suitable for those who can start in the financial year 2025. The Offer As the successful candidate, you will receive generous remuneration based on your experience, the days you work with the board, and the power supplied. The quarters are arranged for independent living and feature furnished bedrooms, a kitchen, a lounge, a toilet, a shower, and a built-in laundry. The property is 1 hour and 15 minutes away from Roma, which is known for its vibrant community and hosts numerous social events throughout the year, contributing to a strong sense of community engagement.
