The Role: As a Food and Beverage Team Leader , you will foster a culture of teamwork, innovation, and excellence. This is a hands-on operational role where you will oversee daily operations, lead the front-of-house team, and ensure our guests enjoy outstanding service and high-quality dining experiences. Your leadership and attention to detail will be key in upholding our high standards and driving guest satisfaction. You will also play a vital role in the coordination and execution of food and beverage services for conferences, meetings, and events. This includes ensuring seamless collaboration between the kitchen, front-of-house staff, and event coordinators to deliver smooth and memorable experiences for all attendees. Your duties will include, but are not limited to: Supervise and provide leadership to the Food & Beverage Team Support the productivity, motivation, and development of team members. Assist the Food and Beverage Manager with staff training and development. Oversee monthly stocktakes and maintain accurate inventory records for cost control. Assist with weekly rostering to ensure optimal staffing aligned with business needs. Coordinate with conference and events teams to deliver exceptional service for all functions. Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, feedback, and concerns. Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure efficient and consistent food and beverage service. Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety regulations. Contribute to the continuous improvement of operations, actively participating in the development of policies, procedures, and best practices to enhance overall efficiency and guest experience To be successful in this role: Experience in a supervisory or team leader role within a hotel or hospitality environment Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a guest-first approach. Proven leadership and team management skills. Sound knowledge of food and beverage operations, including inventory control, rostering, and budgeting. Proficiency in barista and bartending skills, including coffee and cocktail preparation. Competency with point-of-sale systems and hospitality software. Flexibility to work a rotating seven-day schedule, including early/late shifts, weekends, and public holidays. Training or certification in food safety and hygiene (desirable).
