Enrolled Nurse (Grade 3) – Dysart Hospital | QLD Contract Location: Dysart Hospital, Central Queensland Contract Dates: 25 August 2025 – 26 October 2025 Employment Type: Full-Time Contract (Rotating Roster, 8- and 12-hour shifts) Max Hours: 80 hours per fortnight (OT after 80hrs) Own vehicle highly recommended due to remote location About the Role Dysart Hospital is seeking an experienced Enrolled Nurse (Grade 3) for a short-term contract opportunity in a dynamic rural health environment. You will provide a high standard of nursing care across acute, emergency, and ward settings in a small but busy 9-bed hospital servicing the Isaac region, including surrounding mining communities. Mandatory Requirements We are seeking applicants with: 3–4 years' post-grad Enrolled Nurse experience Proven rural or remote nursing exposure Experience in acute, emergency and ward environments Competence in blood taking, wound care, and stores/ordering Proficiency with QLD ieMR, FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS You must be willing to: Be the second nurse on shift Work all rostered shifts including weekends and nights Respond to emergency presentations Mandatory Competencies Basic Life Support (BLS) Advanced Life Support (ALS) Emergency Triage Education Kit (ETEK) Manual Handling / Patient Handling Infection Control Aggressive Behaviour Management Mandatory Reporting (Child Protection) Medications Management (incl. QPHS Drugs & Poisons Regulations 2012) Desirable Previous experience with Queensland Health, MHHS, or working in remote/isolated practice. Systems Training Applicants must confirm: QLD ieMR training (Hospital and Date) EMR experience in other states (NSW / SA / VIC) and provide RPL evidence Competence using FirstNet, PowerChart, and HBCIS Why Apply?
