The role: Reporting to the Senior Project Manager and supporting the wider team, you will focus on contractor safety and play a key role in supporting the safe execution of major capital projects, including the site capacity expansion projects for the facility. Duties include, but are not limited to: Conducting contractor onboarding and safety inductions, including document verification, i.e. tickets, insurance, etc and maintaining the database with relevant information Coordinating and reviewing SWMS/JSAs Attending weekly contractor meetings to review upcoming works/permit requirements Conducting site safety walks and toolbox talks for high-risk activities Supporting project managers, engineers and the WHS Manager in leading or assisting with root cause investigations for incidents, hazards, etc Guide team members through incident reporting and investigation processes, ensuring correct actions are identified Maintaining accurate training records and ensuring competency requirements are met Preparing and distributing safety alerts and updates on relevant legislative or procedural changes Liaising with service providers and trades in the field Supporting the production environment, when workload allows, on the broader site safety initiatives, supporting risk assessments, corrective actions and continuous improvement efforts To be considered for this role, you will ideally possess the following: Certificate IV or Diploma in Work Health & Safety At least 3 years in a Workplace Health and Safety role Experience with safety protocols in construction or engineering project delivery Knowledge of Vic OHS Act/Regs ISO45001,AS/NZs 4801 Strong communication skills, high attention to detail and comfortable in a high-activity environment Proficient computer and record-keeping skills NOTE: This is a site-based role theefore it requires presence in the field and on the factory floor during construction activities. Some flexibility will be required to attend the site, outside of working hours, on occasion. We request that candidates have full Australian working rights.
