We are seeking energetic, reliable and experienced Casual General Duties Team Members to join our Event Operations team. In this role, you will play a key part in the set up and pack down of all event spaces across the Centre. This is a hands-on role that supports and executes the transformation of all our event spaces to meet the unique requirements of each event held at the centre. THE ROLE! In this role, you will: Install and set up our Arena mobile retractable seating system and its components Install and dismantle large concert and conference staging sets Set up and pack down of all banquet and conference furniture such as tables and chairs Set and pack downs of dance floors Movement and adjustment of large operable wall panels Ensure all event spaces are presented to high standards within tight timeframes Work collaboratively with team members alongside other departments and clients to meet event requirements Follow supervision and instructions as well as safety procedures and protocols Service and support of events once they are up and running ABOUT YOU! To be successful in this role, you will bring: Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry, push and pull large heavy items over extended distances and periods Comfort working on your feet and managing repetitive physical tasks Ability to work on tiered step levels whilst carrying bulky items A positive attitude, reliability and a willingness to work as part of a team Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising quality Strong attention to detail and a guest-focused mindset Flexibility to work a variety of casual shifts including early mornings, afternoons, late nights, overnights, weekends and public holidays WHY WORK WITH US? “It’s not what we do, it’s how we do it”!
