We are looking for a qualified and experienced Chef and Cook to join our kitchen team in Warrnambool. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of commercial kitchen operations, a passion for Mexican cuisine, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This is a hands-on role that requires reliability, teamwork, and a high standard of food preparation and presentation. Key Responsibilities Plan and prepare authentic Mexican dishes in accordance with our signature menu. Oversee and manage kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and presentation. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen. Monitor food stock and coordinate with suppliers to ensure consistent inventory. Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation. Collaborate with the Head Chef and management team to create new dishes or seasonal specials. Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations. Qualifications & Skills Required For Chef - Diploma or higher in Commercial Cookery or equivalent at least 1 year of relevant experience. For Cook - Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent at least 1 year of relevant experience. Proven experience working in a busy commercial kitchen. Sound knowledge of traditional and modern Mexican cuisine is desirable. Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork skills.
