Clinical Nurse (Mental Health – Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team) Location: Mackay Community Health Centre Classification: RN Grade 6 Placement Type: Temporary Contract Start Date: ASAP End Date: 31 August 2025 Schedule: Monday to Friday | 0800 – 1630 hrs | Max 80 hours per fortnight Days Off: Weekends & Public Holidays Overtime: Applicable after 80 hours per fortnight About the Role We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join the Mobile Intensive Rehabilitation Team (MIRT) at Mackay Community Health Centre. MIRT delivers clinical case management to adults (18–65 years) with complex mental health needs, offering intensive, recovery-oriented support to help individuals achieve greater independence and quality of life. Key Requirements (Mandatory) Demonstrated experience in mental health case management Competency in ECG interpretation Ability to safely administer intramuscular injections Current Driver’s Licence Desirable Experience Familiarity with CIMHA and ieMR systems Previous work experience in Queensland Health, particularly within Mackay HHS Understanding of the Mental Health Act 2016 (QLD) Required Competencies Basic Life Support (BLS) Manual and patient handling Infection prevention and control Management of aggressive behaviour Mandatory reporting (reasonable suspicions of child abuse/neglect) Medications management including QPHS (Drugs and Poisons) Regulations (Nov 2012) Responsibilities under the Aged Care Act (including elder abuse awareness) Additional Requirements The successful candidate must be willing to complete any required local onboarding and training, which may include: Integrated electronic medical record (ieMR) training Online induction modules Other HHS-specific training as required To apply, please click 'Apply Now' on this page to complete the enquiry form on the Nursing Jobs Australia website and upload your CV.
