The PRU specialises in supporting children who are struggling to manage in mainstream settings, focusing on personalised behavioural support and outreach programmes. The Role of a SEN Learning Support Assistant Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs or behavioural difficulties in small groups or 1:1 settings. Work as part of a multi‑disciplinary team, in coordination with the SENCo and class teachers. Potentially deliver or assist in outreach to pupils in mainstream schools. Support transitions and produce bespoke behaviour/learning plans where needed. Requirements of a SEN Learning Support Assistant Experience working in a PRU, SEN setting, special school, or with pupils with EHCPs/EHCP plans. Relevant professional qualifications in SEN, SEND, Behaviour Support, or related fields. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with SEMH pupils and manage challenging behaviour.
