Description Job Purpose DP World is seeking a motivated Business Development Manager to join our Commercial team in Melbourne. This permanent full-time role focuses on identifying and securing new business opportunities, managing sales pipelines, preparing proposals, and serving as the main contact for sales. You’ll build strong customer relationships, contribute to tenders, provide feedback to operations, and stay across industry trends. The role also ensures smooth account transitions, supports retention, and leverages your network to drive sustainable growth. Key Accountabilities Drive targeted sales, lead negotiations, and finalise contracts to close profitable deals. Maintain records, manage customer interactions, and oversee onboarding for satisfaction. Build and manage a strong sales pipeline aligned with business strategy. Track KPIs, forecasts, and budgets to optimise revenue and support planning. Take ownership, communicate openly, make sound decisions, and prioritise customer needs. Qualifications, Skills & Experience 5 years’ experience in Business Development with proven success in customer management. Strong knowledge of Supply Chain and Logistics, including pricing and rate cards. Skilled in lead generation, high-retention relationships, and expanding into new markets. Highly organised, able to manage priorities, perform under pressure, and deliver consultative sales. Committed to quality control, accurate records, and reporting non-conformance.
