Technical IT Business Analyst Manufacturing Multinational Company Dynamic/growing organization Free on-site parking The company: An Australian owned, well established, fast-paced and rapidly growing Sydney based International Manufacturing Company is seeking to employ a full-time Business Analyst to join our head office team located in South Granville. The business currently operates in Australia, New Zealand and the Philippines and is looking at opportunities for further expansion in both Australia and overseas. The role: This is a unique and challenging role reporting to the Group I.T Manager. This is an excellent opportunity to lead change and work with the key stakeholders across the group. You will have proven experience as a business analyst and excellent communication skills on an enterprise level and experience interacting with senior managers and stakeholders. You must be able to apply best practices relating to industry standard requirements and be capable of providing high-quality data and business analysis to impact business requirements. We expect the role can identify business process improvement opportunities through ongoing measurement of our organizational performance; support stakeholders’ success by delivering operational initiatives; prepare business future development by having strong business acumen. Your background/skillset: Experienced in executing continuous improvement projects realising significant measurable improvements Knowledge with ERP systems is desirable but not a must Excellent relationship and stakeholder management Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Working in collaboration with the project team and business in implementing project initiatives Knowledge of using tools like Visio, UML, JIRA, Confluence, Word and Excel Knowledge of Agile methodologies – SCRUM, Waterfall, Agile The key responsibilities: Develop and document processes and procedures Prepare functional and technical requirements to support business process development to ensure the organization can meet the customer's business needs Seek client requirements through interviews, workshops and/or existing systems documentation or procedures Conducts reviews and analyses business and information technology processes and prepares the essential groundwork for their standardization and optimization Participates in the definition, testing, training, implementation and support of system requirements Uncovers client requirements via industry-standard analysis techniques (e.g. Data Flow and Object Modelling, Use Case Analysis, Workflow Analysis & Functional Analysis) Ensures requirements are understood, agreed to and signed off at the appropriate early stages in a project or enhancement Provides detailed analysis resulting in clear, concise and unambiguous documentation. Requirements analysis will undergo multiple iterations and refinements. Documents detailed use cases/stories that cover alternate and exception flows. Supplements use cases/stories with real-world scenarios Provides user documentation for the system and/or processes Conduct system and user acceptance testing for software projects and minor enhancements Deliver training to key audiences Working closely with developers and testers to provide clarification when required Knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle is required Applications are to provide a CV and a covering letter.
