GVL Group Pty Ltd is currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Community Worker to join our dedicated team based in Parramatta, NSW. We are committed to delivering inclusive and culturally sensitive support services to vulnerable members of the community. Key Responsibilites Assess client needs and develop tailored support, education, and training programs Monitor client progress and refer to external agencies when necessary Assist individuals and families with social, emotional, and financial challenges Support people with disabilities and supervise individuals on probation or parole Liaise with community groups, service providers, and government agencies to address community issues and promote available resources Evaluate community needs in areas such as housing, health, and employment Prepare funding submissions and reports for government and partner organisations Requirements Minimum 1–2 years of relevant experience in a community, welfare, or support service setting. Hold an Associate Degree, Advanced Diploma, or Diploma in Community Services or a related field. Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of social services systems and community development approaches. Ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team. Cultural sensitivity and a genuine commitment to social justice.
