About the role Our Senior's division is expanding across Sydney and the Central Coast we are now seeking an experienced Allied Health Assistant to work autonomously at group exercise programs to assist our Senior’s to improve quality of their life, and wellbeing. To be successful in this role you will need to have experience facilitating group exercise programs under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional. It is important that you can work autonmously . As our services keep growing, there is the possibility of providing at home services in the future. This is a mobile role and you will be working at our Waitara office on Thursdays from 10am to 3pm and Fridays at Woy Woy from 10am to 2pm. What your day may look like: Achieve Goals Together : Facilitate a gentle exercise program for up to 12 participants within a group setting considering the diverse health requirements of each participant under the guidance of an Allied Health Professional. Stay Informed: Know participants' profiles what they can and cannot do and always being aware of the unknown. Positive Engagement: Interact positively with participants, families, carers, stakeholders and other team members. Care with Heart: Ensuring your own safety when setting up a room as you will need to be able to move chairs and tables. Assist with other duties when required, teamwork makes the difference for our participants and for the greater team. Community Connection: Be confident when leading a group and engage with each other using compassion, respect and positivity. About you: Completed a Certificate III in Allied Health or related qualification. Willingness to undergo a national criminal history check or have a NDIS worker check. Have an NSW unrestricted driver's license and a registered and insured motor vehicle. Experience in facilitating group programs in aged care with a physiotherapy background. Ability to demonstrate your capacity to work autonomously.
