The Position REIWA is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts Officer to join our Finance team for a 12-month parental leave contract. This hands-on role will be responsible for a wide range of transactional and operational accounting duties that ensure the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of our financial data. You’ll be part of a collaborative team, working closely with internal business units to provide finance support and reporting. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the operations of a values-driven organisation that supports the WA real estate community. Key Responsibilities Prepare and issue customer invoices, process credit notes, and manage accounts receivable functions including debt collection and reconciliations. Process and reconcile various income streams including EFT, BPAY, credit cards, and direct debits. Handle accounts payable processes: invoice entry, approval coordination, supplier statement reconciliation, and EFT payments. Process payroll for both permanent and casual staff, including reconciliations, leave accruals, superannuation, and payroll tax. Perform monthly and annual reconciliations across bank accounts, credit cards, training reports, sponsorship registers, and other balance sheet items. Support monthly reporting including journals, depreciation, revenue recognition, and variance analysis with business units. Assist with budget preparation and year-end audit processes by preparing accurate and professional financial reports. Provide ad hoc support across finance functions during peak periods or staff absences. Key Selection Criteria Essential: Degree in Accounting or equivalent, or a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar position. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook Working knowledge of accounting software and systems Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting High attention to detail, numeracy, and data accuracy Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Collaborative and team-oriented mindset Previous experience using NetSuite/Salesforce CRM (desirable) How to apply Please submit your application including a detailed cover letter that addresses the selection criteria, along with your current resume.
