Job Description – Laboratory Technician A global leader in rubber manufacturing is seeking an experienced lab technician to join their team in Bayswater. You will be responsible for testing rubber materials and conveyor belts (Steel Cord/Fabric) to ensure quality and compliance with standards. Key Tasks: Conduct quality control tests (hardness, tensile strength, flame resistance, Rheo analysis, etc.) Record, analyse, and interpret test results Review quarantined stock and assist with product disposition Operate and maintain lab equipment (Rheometers, UTMs, flame testers) Prepare and manage test samples with traceability Support incoming inspections and continuous improvement initiatives About you: Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a methodical approach to testing Ability to follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organised lab environment Effective communication skills and a collaborative, outcome- focused approach Working hours Working hours will vary across different shifts, including weekends. Flexibility is essential in this role. Overtime will be paid at applicable penalty rates.
