About the role We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team on a part time basis (Monday - Wednesday) to ensure accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining compliance and support employees with payroll enquiries. This role is vital in ensuring our payroll processes run smoothly and accurately, supporting our employees throughout their lifecycle. Key responsibilities include: Managing end-to-end weekly payrolls for our multi-site business, ensuring accuracy and integrity of payroll data Ensuring compliance with all relevant awards, Fair Work requirements, and state/federal tax regulations Supporting HR processes including recruitment admin, onboarding, contracts, and employee records Addressing and resolving payroll discrepancies and issues in a timely manner Preparing and lodging payroll taxes and monthly IAS Processing Superannuation lodgments within deadlines Conducting annual reporting and reconciliations for payroll tax, Workcover, and payment summaries Managing general ledger reconciliations related to payroll and employee benefits Staying updated with changes in payroll legislation and ensure proactive implementation of necessary changes About you We are looking for someone who is an excellent communicator and is able to work effectively in a team, demonstrating flexibility and willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed. You will have the ability to solve complex problems relating to payroll, leave and GL accounts with excellent time management skills, eye for detail and accuracy. You will set priorities, meet deadlines and work well under pressure! To be considered for this role, you will need to bring with you: A strong knowledge and understanding of Australian Payroll Minimum of 5 years payroll experience with some exposure to a leadership role preferred Systems Experience - Employment Hero HR and Payroll (or a similar payroll system) Knowledge of Australian legislation and award interpretation What's in it for you Pastries and bread, as well as Market Lane coffee daily!
