About the Role We are seeking passionate and professional individuals to join our growing Racing Operations Team. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic and exciting environment, supporting race day operations at the Q, home of Queensland Greyhound Racing. About Us Greyhound Racing in Queensland is entering an exciting new phase with the merger of the Ipswich Greyhound Racing Club and Brisbane Greyhound Racing Club, forming the Queensland Greyhound Racing Club (QGRC). QGRC has begun transitioning operations to The Q, a new state of the art greyhound racing facility in Yamanto, situated on the outskirts of Ipswich. The facility includes 3 separate race tracks, a community club complete with a 350 seat restaurant, sports bar, a gaming room with 60 machines and a kids club. The Club is committed to fostering a family-friendly and balanced workplace, offering flexibility in work arrangements to support personal commitments. Tasks & responsibilities Preparing for race meetings and trial sessions. Supervision of kenneling. Ensuring integrity standards are adhered to. Supporting on track during race meetings and trial sessions. Interacting with greyhound racing licensees and racing officials Qualifications & experience Full paid training is provided Previous experience within the racing industry is considered an advantage Ability to work within a team environment and to positively influence culture, yet work autonomously without supervision. Ability to take direction Sound communication skills Must have a passion for working with animals Ability to work evenings and weekends is a requirement of this position. Employment is under the Racing Club and Events Award.
