About the Role Guardian Building Group is seeking a talented Part-Time Estimator to join our dynamic team in Emu Plains, NSW. As our Part-Time Estimator, you will play a crucial role in supporting the company's growth and profitability, by providing accurate and competitive cost estimates for a variety of construction projects. What You'll Be Doing Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, considering all relevant factors such as materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor costs Analyse project specifications, drawings, and scopes of work to identify and quantify all necessary resources Collaborate with senior estimator Maintain a comprehensive database of costs, pricing, and supplier information to aid in the estimating process Providing quotes to customers based on all up-to-date prices What We're Looking For Minimum 3 years of experience as a Construction Estimator, preferably within the residential industry Strong understanding of construction materials, methods, and industry standards Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, specifications, and other technical documents Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities Proficient in using estimating software and spreadsheet applications Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work as part of a team Flexibility and adaptability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment What We Offer At Guardian Building Group, we value our employees and strive to provide a supportive and rewarding work environment.
