About the Position : You will oversee the day-to-day accounting and financial operations of the business, with full responsibility for all Australia-based functions, including financial control, regulatory reporting, cash flow management, purchasing, invoicing, payments, and related financial analysis. This role presents an excellent opportunity for a skilled and driven accounting professional to strengthen our financial foundations, enhance operational discipline, and help elevate the business to its next phase of performance and growth. Key Responsibilities : Develop and implement robust accounting and budgeting policies to support financial governance and operational efficiency. Ensure the business adheres to all relevant local accounting, tax, financial reporting, and internal control regulations, as well as corporate principles and compliance standards. Prepare and deliver accurate, timely financial statements for executive leadership, shareholders, regulatory authorities, and other key stakeholders. Oversee the timely and accurate processing of employee salary payments and ensure compliance with Australian tax regulations for payroll and withholding obligations. Lead financial audits, reviews, and investigations, offering expert analysis on transactions including mergers, acquisitions, restructuring, and tax compliance. Monitor and analyse income and expense trends to evaluate business performance and recommend cost-optimization strategies. Ensure financial reports adhere to legal, regulatory, and accounting standards, maintaining high levels of compliance and transparency. Provide strategic financial and tax planning advice to support business growth, operational structuring, and profitability. Oversee the preparation and submission of tax returns for individuals and corporate entities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable tax laws. liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements Proactively manage and adhere to the monthly reporting schedule, ensuring timely submission of financial reports to the directors Administer and improve accounting systems, including the evaluation and implementation of financial software solutions. Strengthen internal control systems to protect financial data integrity and support risk management efforts. Analyse cash flow forecasts and assess the financial risks and returns of proposed capital investment initiatives. Requirements : Australian citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply. Required Qualifications: Minimum bachelor’s degree in accounting – ideally Master’s degree in Accounting. Required Experience: Minimum 2 year of full-time experience as Accountant. Confident using Xero and cloud-based finance tools. Required Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children. Basic understanding of child development principles. High level of attention to detail and organization.
