Full-Time Chefs and Cooks Girdlers Narrabeen is a vibrant café located on Sydney’s Northern Beaches, known for fresh, wholesome food and a commitment to sustainability and quality. We are seeking enthusiastic, skilled, and motivated Chefs and Cooks to join our growing kitchen team. Chef – Key Responsibilities Plan and develop innovative, seasonal menu items aligned with Girdlers’ food philosophy Supervise and coordinate kitchen operations to ensure efficient service delivery Oversee food presentation and quality control across all dishes Manage kitchen inventory, food costings, and supplier relationships Maintain compliance with food safety and hygiene standards Train, supervise, and mentor kitchen staff including cooks and apprentices Collaborate with management on menu pricing and kitchen performance Cook – Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook menu items in line with established recipes and presentation standards Set up and maintain food preparation areas and cooking stations Support Chefs in ingredient preparation, portioning, and daily kitchen tasks Ensure food is served promptly and meets Girdlers’ quality expectations Maintain cleanliness and safety in all kitchen operations Assist with receiving and storing stock and checking food quality Work cooperatively with kitchen and front-of-house staff for smooth service Requirements for Both Roles Relevant qualifications Proven 1 year experience in a busy café or restaurant kitchen Sound knowledge of kitchen safety, hygiene, and food handling regulations Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment Availability to work across various shifts, including weekends and public holidays A strong work ethic and ability to work as part of a collaborative team What We Offer Competitive salary between $70,000 – $80,000 super A supportive, inclusive workplace culture Opportunities for growth and career development Salary: This is a full-time position with competitive remuneration between $70,000 - $80,000 p.a. plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
