This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment and is passionate about turning data and process into powerful results About the Role As the Business Development Manager – Attachments, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving Schlam’s growth across key mining clients. Working closely with Account Managers and the Product Life Services team, you’ll deepen existing relationships, uncover new business opportunities, and lead strategic initiatives across capital equipment and refurbishment services. Acting as a trusted advisor, you’ll tailor solutions to client needs, shape pricing strategies, and contribute to Schlam’s long-term success through data-driven decision-making and CRM insights. What you’ll be doing Customer Relationship Management Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, identifying sales and refurbishment opportunities, resolving issues, and acting as the main contact for strategic accounts in the bucket and rebuild segment. Sales Strategy & Execution Manage regional sales pipelines, contribute to budgets and go-to-market strategies, deliver compelling proposals and presentations, and align rebuild services with client maintenance schedules. Technical & Commercial Support Coordinate technical input for sales, review General Arrangement drawings, support warranty processes, and align product solutions with client needs in collaboration with Engineering and Product Life Services teams. Internal Collaboration Act as the central liaison between departments to ensure seamless service delivery, support site visits, and contribute to tailored client solutions. Brand & Compliance Represent Schlam’s values in all interactions and ensure compliance with internal policies and industry standards . What Experience and knowledge you’ll bring Customer & Industry Insight: Proven ability to manage customer relationships, with strong knowledge of mining equipment (including loading equipment and attachments) and load-haul processes. Experienced in capital equipment sales, tracking industry trends, and contributing to strategic planning and product development. Technical & Commercial Expertise: Deep understanding of B2B sales, CRM systems, and the mobile equipment manufacturing market. Skilled in commercial negotiation, cost analysis, and quoting for large excavator and wheel loader attachment refurbishments. Communication & Leadership: Strong communicator with experience in reporting, presentations, and cross-functional collaboration. Demonstrated ability to mentor staff, work independently, and lead problem-solving initiatives. Customer Relationship Management & Digital Proficiency Skilled in CRM systems with a strong focus on building client relationships.
