About the Role You’ll play a pivotal role in supporting procurement and contract lifecycle management across strategic categories. Reporting to the Procurement General Manager, you’ll analyse data, supporting the procurement improvement project, technically strong. Your work will enhance value-for-money outcomes and drive the transformation of procurement practices within the government agency. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement process improvements that integrate new procurement systems with legacy workflows to optimise efficiency and compliance Collaborate with internal business units and external vendors to ensure procurement process enhancements support long-term strategic objectives Conduct environmental scans, policy reviews, and spend analysis to inform procurement decision-making and drive continuous improvement Maintain expert knowledge of developments in procurement technologies, contract management platforms, and data governance, applying innovative solutions to improve performance Support business-as-usual procurement operations and major sourcing projects by identifying issues, exploring options, and documenting tailored procurement solutions Manage the lifecycle of procurement processes and tools, ensuring they remain aligned with policy requirements and user needs Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to embed improved procurement practices and contribute to broader organisational objectives Advocate for procurement reform initiatives by analysing business needs, facilitating workshops, and producing insights that influence strategic sourcing and category management About You Essential: Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Supply Chain or similar Minimum 3 years’ experience in BA roles within the government/public sector Demonstrated capability in driving procurement improvements and training programs Strong knowledge of procurement policy, tendering, probity and contract principles Proficient in conducting data analysis to drive savings and compliance Excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills Strong written communication for drafting and reviewing contracts Valid working rights in Australia (holding PR, citizenship or long‑term work visa – no sponsorship provided) As a mandatory requirement for this contract role required by our client, applicants are kindly asked to complete a compliance check and upload their work rights verification at www.charterdiligence.com.au/portal.
