About the opportunity This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and innovative Grade 3 Clinician to provide a specialist Speech Pathology service to the paediatric ward and Special care nursery at Werribee Mercy hospital on a casual basis. Join our supportive and friendly Speech Pathology department and an expanding public health service that is committed to ensuring high quality, evidenced -based, person-centred, safe and effective patient care. The successful applicant will have extensive experience in providing neonatal and paediatric clinical care in swallowing and feeding difficulties; working collaboratively with families and the multidisciplinary team; and have a demonstrated commitment to excellence in person centred care through quality, research and evidence based practice. To thrive in this role, you will have: Significant experience and a high level of clinical expertise in complex paediatric dysphagia assessment and management Knowledge and experience in providing supportive, family centred care An ability to work within a dynamic multidisciplinary team, including proven interpersonal and communication skills Commitment to continuous quality improvement, clinical research and professional development of self and others within an evidence based practice framework Eligibility for membership of SPA You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
