Job Description: Payments Business Analyst Location: Sydney Role type: Contract 12 months Core Responsibilities: Requirements Gathering: Facilitate the gathering and definition of requirements between business, strategy, and technology partners to support the delivery of strategic solutions that achieve necessary business outcomes. Industry Standards: Possess detailed knowledge of ISO 20022 messaging formats and industry standards. Payments Systems: Have experience with payments systems such as SWIFT, ISO, IMT, RTGS, STP, and GPP. Agile Methodologies: Utilize Agile methodologies and tools (e.g., Business Genetics, Jira) to ensure efficient and effective project delivery. Strategic Influence: Influence business and technology investment decisions through the interpretation and alignment of business and technology strategies. Stakeholder Management: Build, influence, and manage stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to support business outcomes and adhere to group architecture standards. Architectural Consultation: Consult with architects, system owners, and other stakeholders to understand affected systems, processes, and constraints, and develop options to meet business objectives and requirements. Experience Required: Business and Technical Analysis: Advanced experience in business and technical analysis, including payments-related projects (ideally involving cross-border and high-value payments). Industry Initiatives: Extensive experience with current payments industry initiatives, such as ISO 20022 migration, RTGS, cross-border payments, and NPP. Payments Messaging Standards: Advanced knowledge of payments messaging standards, including ISO 20022 and MT messaging formats, and expertise in data mapping per these standards. Lifecycle Understanding: Comprehensive understanding of the end-to-end lifecycle of high-value payments. XML/XSD Knowledge: Proficiency in XML and XSD, with an understanding of how ISO 20022 changes impact systems. Software Delivery Lifecycle: Experience in the software and solution delivery lifecycle, particularly in payments-related projects involving complex integration. Agile Team Experience: Proven experience working in Agile teams. Stakeholder Management: Ability to independently manage business stakeholders and facilitate requirements workshops. Agile Business Analysis Techniques: Advanced knowledge of Agile business analysis processes and techniques, including user stories, epics, use cases, and business process modeling.
