Job Description: Data Governance Specialist Primary Skill: Data Governance Secondary Skill: Exposure to Profisee and Talend Metadata Manager tools Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement a comprehensive Data Governance Framework, including Operating Models, Policies, Processes, and Procedures. Define and periodically refresh Data Governance roles, responsibilities, stewardship models, and RACI matrices. Identify and manage Data Assets and Critical Data Elements, ensuring the application of effective data management controls and metrics. Operationalize Data Governance activities by enforcing adherence, adoption, and tracking of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Implement data governance, data quality, data catalog, and data privacy controls using industry-leading tools such as Informatica, Collibra, and Talend. Map regulatory compliance requirements, such as APRA, GDPR, and CCPA, and support their implementation. Provide expertise in Data Management Fundamentals and oversee Data Warehouse or Data Lake implementation. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of Data Governance initiatives with business objectives. Monitor and report on the effectiveness of Data Governance programs and recommend improvements. Qualifications: Proven track record in developing and operationalizing Data Governance programs. Hands-on experience with data governance tools like Informatica, Collibra, Talend, or similar. Exposure to Profisee and Talend Metadata Manager tools is highly desirable. Strong understanding of regulatory compliance standards such as APRA, GDPR, and CCPA. Proficiency in managing Data Assets, Critical Data Elements, and associated metrics. In-depth knowledge of Data Management principles, including experience with Data Warehouse or Data Lake implementation. Certification in relevant tools and domain expertise in the financial sector is preferred. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to promote Data Governance practices across the organization. Preferred Skills: Certification in Data Governance tools or frameworks. Domain knowledge in the financial services sector. Familiarity with advanced data privacy controls and their implementation.
