About the role: Lumia Care presents an exciting opportunity for Community Support Workers to assist our clients in QLD Nerang and surrounding suburbs. This role is casual and must be available every Monday and Thursday from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Wide variety of shifts available - Flexible hours Role responsibilities: Our clients will require assistance in personal care, domestic assistance, social support, meal preparation, compression stockings, medication prompting etc. Support clients in our community needing assistance with social support, transport to appointments and community outings. Provide personal care to clients with dignity and respect such as assisting with showering, grooming and dressing. Continue to support clients to live in their own home by providing help with their meal preparation, cleaning and most importantly, companionship. What we are looking for: Nursing students are encouraged to apply! Experience with manual handling and hoisting is highly desirable. Experience with behaviours and PBSP is highly desirable. A passionate, caring and empathetic personality is a MUST. Certificate III or IV in Community, Aged Care, Disability or equivalent is a MUST. Experience in either disability or aged care is a MUST. A valid driver's license and own vehicle is a MUST. Willingness to learn new skills on the job through training. Experience with PEG feeding is highly desirable. Current First Aid certificate (mandatory) or willing to obtain. Current Police Check (mandatory) or willing to obtain. NDIS Worker screening check or willing to obtain.
