We are MTA approved repairers, providing repair, maintenance, tyre, transmission and repair services for all 4WD’s petrol and diesel vehicles. AFS Automotive is seeking a dedicated motor mechanic to join our team! Employment type: Full-time Salary range: $70,000 - $100,000 per annum (depending upon skills and experience) Location: Marrickville, NSW As a motor mechanic you will diagnose and repair a wide range of vehicle issues, including engine performance, brakes, transmissions, and suspension systems. Your role will involve conducting inspections, performing routine maintenance, and providing exceptional customer service. Key Responsibilities will include but not limited to: Identify and diagnose electrical/mechanical faults in engines and various vehicle parts like tyres, steers, brakes and more. Disassemble and remove engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms for inspection and repair. Carry out routine checkups and maintenance services, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake checks. Carefully reassemble engines and other mechanical parts after repairs, ensuring all components are correctly fitted. Inspect vehicle on regular basis to ensure compliance with pollution-regulations and follow ecofriendly practices Document and maintain records all services performed, including parts used, repairs completed, and customer interactions. Consult with customers about vehicle issues, providing clear explanations and recommendations on repairs Work closely with other mechanics and staff to maintain a productive and efficient workshop environment. Keep abreast of the latest automotive technologies and repair techniques through ongoing training and professional development. Requirements A minimum of 1 year of Australian experience in automotive repair, or related role. Minimum Certificate III in automotive technology or related field. A substantial work experience in Australia may substitute the requirement of qualification.
