Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced, values-driven leader to join our Community Services team as Senior Manager – Home and Financial Stability . This is an exciting opportunity to shape and strengthen UnitingSA’s Homelessness and Financial Wellbeing Services, ensuring efficient, high-quality, and person-centred support that transforms lives. This senior leadership role is responsible for the strategic and operational management of services across the Home and Financial Stability portfolio. You will lead service growth and innovation, ensure compliance with service agreements, and champion outcomes that promote stability, dignity, and long-term wellbeing for individuals and families. Key Responsibilities: Provide inclusive and supportive leadership to the Home and Financial Stability team, including regular coaching, performance development, and training opportunities. Ensure the portfolio is staffed with capable, committed professionals delivering services to a high standard. Oversee the delivery of responsive, respectful, and outcomes-focused services that meet all contractual and compliance requirements. Collaborate with other Community Services leaders to enhance wrap-around supports and integrated service responses. Build and maintain strong partnerships with government departments, funding bodies, and sector stakeholders. Oversee data collection and reporting systems to ensure accurate and timely performance insights. Lead the development and implementation of operational plans, with opportunities for staff input and collaboration. Identify and lead tender submissions and funding opportunities to expand and strengthen services. Champion innovation through the design and implementation of evidence-informed programs. Promote consumer voice and participation, fostering self-determination, independence, and community inclusion. Skills & Experience: Demonstrated leadership experience in a community or human services context, managing multidisciplinary teams. Proven ability in strategic planning, service design, policy development, and program evaluation. Strong understanding of homelessness, financial hardship, and related social justice issues. Knowledge of government and non-government funding systems, with experience in budget oversight and financial management. Strong interpersonal, organisational, and team development skills. Sound knowledge of the community services landscape and available supports for vulnerable individuals. Experience in community development and systems thinking approaches.
