This ongoing, flexible/hybrid position will report to the Director, Property and Security and can be located in Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne or Sydney. You will need to be open to interstate travel to build, coach and develop direct reports to ensure a collaborative, supportive and high-performance culture across each office. Remuneration: The annual salary range for the position is EL1 $117, 665 to $138,493 p.a. plus a generous employer superannuation contribution of 15.4%. About the opportunity Following the creation of the Administrative Review Tribunal in October 2024, there has been a renewed focus within the Corporate Services branch to expand the service delivery capability of the Office Manager cohort. As such, we have created this exciting new role to positively lead, manage and develop a team of geographically dispersed Office Managers with the priority of improving the overall internal customer service. This is unique and specialised role, that will work collaboratively within the Property and Security section to ensure the effective delivery of the property, facility, protective security risk management and business continuity outcomes that aligns with best practice approaches and meets broader business outcomes. One of the core focuses of this role will be to develop, drive and implement operational processes and initiatives to ensure the Office Manager function is running efficiently and consistently across the Tribunal. This will include development and implementation of systems and processes to deliver risk managed outcomes for each registry that align with the Corporate Plan and ‘One ART’ model. About you: As the Office Manager role is a new function at the Tribunal, the National Manager must have experience working in an unfamiliar and constantly changing environment. There are numerous processes and operational matters to define, establish and implement across a broad range of corporate areas that the National Manager must navigate and lead a team through to ensure consistency and success. You will be required to have a high degree of independence, professionalism and analytical expertise and would suit a person with emotional intelligence, adaptable leadership, the ability to think strategically and who can manage change effectively across a geographically dispersed working environment. To be successful you will have: Proven ability to manage multiple competing interests and remain future-focussed in a fast-paced and continuously changing environment. Well-developed managerial and organisational skills, including managing and coordinating inputs from diverse team members, setting priorities, establishing clear performance and behavioural standards, managing performance, delegating responsibility and mentoring, guiding and developing people. Extensive knowledge of government legislation, procedures and practices relating to Commonwealth property, procurement and contracts including Commonwealth Procurement Rules and PGPA Act requirements. Highly developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to develop and manage productive working relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, negotiate and communicate with influence, and the capacity to provide expert advice on a range of matters to senior executives. Demonstrated ability to promote and implement positive organisational change through an attitude of continuous improvement and open and considered communication. Essential: Ability to obtain and maintain a Negative Vetting 2 Security Clearance The Tribunal requires Australian Citizenship as a condition of engagement. All employees are required to undertake an Australian Federal Police Check and a Health Assessment.
