See yourself in our team As part of the Bank’s Risk Management division, the Credit Hindsight and Credit Portfolio Assurance (CPA) Teams provide an independent, tertiary overview of the application of credit risk policies and processes throughout the Group. The CPA team provide independent assurance of credit risks within CBA’s Non-Retail Portfolio. This includes a range of portfolio and thematic reviews executed across CBA to support credit quality and continuous improvement of processes, systems and people. It achieves these objectives through the assessment of the accuracy of risk assessment of individual credit exposures and broader portfolio credit quality, as well as the strength of and compliance with the Group’s Credit Risk Management Framework and relevant regulatory requirements in the different onshore and offshore locations in which the Group operates. CPA’s role is to perform its reviews objectively and independently providing unbiased opinions. Do work that matters Joining at an exciting time, and as Manager Credit Portfolio Assurance reporting into our Executive Manager, you have the chance to be part of a professional team generating highly valued assurance service to the business and risk committees. You'll also be providing objective assurance on risk management to key stakeholders (e/g Group Executives and their leadership teams) to support the financial wellbeing of the Bank's customers. The role will see you undertake CPA reviews across the CBA Non-Retail portfolio with a particular focus on Institutional Banking & Markets portfolios . Reviews conducted are consistent with CPA’s methodology to identify relevant credit issues across the full range of Business Units (BU's), regions and industries having regard to the Group's credit policies, standards and procedures. We're interested in hearing from people who have Demonstrated experience in a credit risk management role in Corporate and or Institutional Banking segments (ideally 3 years). Capacity to work to a timetable and meet objectives and targets. Ability to undertake analytical research and contribute to high quality recommendations. Good communication and influencing skills, delivering high quality outcomes and reporting. Demonstrated ability in building strong stakeholder relationships based on credibility, rapport and trust. Contribute to deriving commercial insights. Strong CBA system knowledge particularly within Commsee and PD Tools with sound knowledge of Group credit policies, standards and procedures.
