You will be working for a not-for-profit Aboriginal organisation that delivers wrap-around human and social services on Palm Island. They are a respected primary health provider and are launching a new home care service under the National Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Flexible Aged Care Program (NATSIFAC). About the Role This is a rare leadership opportunity for a dynamic aged care manager to build and oversee a culturally safe, community-driven home care program for Palm Island Elders. FIFO from Townsville several days per week – the rest of your time is based locally Lead all aspects of aged care delivery: program management, care planning, staffing, training, and compliance Embed the Aged Care Quality Standards, Code of Conduct, and Rights Charter Oversee staff performance, training, and continuous quality improvement Collaborate with local health, government, and community partners Contribute directly to community wellbeing, cultural safety, and Elder empowerment To be eligible for this position you must have: Bachelor of Nursing and AHPRA registration (unrestricted) Minimum 2 years in aged care at a managerial level – ideally in home care Strong leadership, team development and service design experience Proven understanding of aged care standards and compliance Cultural competence and experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities Willingness to FIFO to Palm Island multiple days per week Must be Townsville-based or willing to relocate (no accommodation provided in Townsville) If you are interested please either click apply now or email your CV through to me at elissa@curis.com.au.
