THE COMPANY Instantly recognisable Australian Retail Brand THE OPPORTUNITY Reporting to the Payroll Team Leader, the Payroll Officer will join a large team managing their own portfolio of retail stores. Duties include, but are not limited to, the below: Processing fortnightly payroll, generating reports and completing system audits Maintain the Payroll system to ensure employee personnel files remain up-to-date Ensure appropriate Payroll Auditing procedures are followed for your portfolio Assist with WorkCover administration Respond to payroll queries for your designated store portfolio Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders and the wider HR team Provide a high level of customer service and support employees with any payroll queries Award Interpretation Update the Payroll procedure manual as and when required Assist the wider Payroll team as and when required POSITIVES Apart from the responsibility of managing your own portfolio, the culture of Payroll in this business is very much "team-based" - the Payroll Team Leader and the wider team will have your back when you need it. Being a retail organisation, with a high number of casual employees, this comes with an expectation to do plenty of customer service to a high standard. IDEAL APPLICANTS You're either a tenured Payroll Professional with years of experience seeking a team-based role where you can take leave when you want or a Payroll Officer with at least two years tenure in the same business processing pay for at least 500 employees.
