Position : Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care Location: Across NCN Health EFT/Hours : 0.6 EFT (32 Hours Per Fortnight) Status : Permanent Part Time Salary/ Hourly rate: $ 72.4737 to $ 73.8500 plus 12% superannuation About the Role: The Nurse Practitioner (NP) role is built on the platform of a Registered Nurse (RN) and centres on advanced clinical practice, nursing leadership, and the development of quality nursing through research, mentoring, and training. All NP roles include, but are not limited to, assessment and management of patients/clients/residents using nursing knowledge and skills, direct referral of patients/clients/residents to other health care professionals, prescribing medications, and ordering/interpreting/acting on diagnostic investigations. The scope of patients include Urgent Care Centre presentations, ward patients (general medical, subacute, Transitional Care Program, maintenance care), Hospital In The Home patients and residential aged care, with opportunities to develop outpatient services. The NP provides innovative and flexible health care delivery that complements other health care providers. The NP will be credentialed as per NCN Health credentialing processes and will be granted admission rights to the health service and granted a defined scope of practice. Selection Criteria We are looking for someone with: Current registration and endorsement with AHPRA as a Nurse Practitioner of the selected discipline, such registration and endorsement to be maintained for duration of employment in the role. Current credentialing by NCN Health as a nurse practitioner, including meeting requirements for qualifications, experience, professional attributes and continuing professional development. Demonstrated ability to function autonomously and collaboratively in an advanced and extended clinical role. Demonstrated capability to effectively communicate with a range of divergent health care professionals. Demonstrated ability to engage with and promote reflective practice across the nursing workforce. Demonstrated ability to apply and promote evidence informed practice at the point of care.
