The South Coast Region extends 1,200 km from Denmark to the South Australian border and includes 14 national parks, 4 marine parks and 150 nature reserves covering 2.5 million hectares plus 7 million hectares of unallocated Crown land (UCL). National parks include Torndirrup, Porongurup, Stirling Range, Fitzgerald River, West Cape Howe, Gull Rock, Waychinicup, Stokes, Cape Le Grand, and Cape Arid. The South Coast Region’s key service deliverables include nature conservation, parks and visitor services and fire management. We currently have an opportunity for a Parks and Visitor Services Coordinator to join our Esperance District team, to lead the PVS portfolio, managing the suite of parks and reserves in the Esperance district, including the iconic Cape Le Grand and Cape Arid national parks. Under the limited direction of the District Manager, you will: Coordinate the parks and visitor services program within the Esperance district ensuring high quality outcomes are produced in a cost-effective manner and according to the department’s management policies, practices and guidelines. Be responsible for driving management planning, community liaison, program budgets, business plans, marketing, capital works programs and managing staff within the parks and visitor services program. Actively seek alternative resourcing through partnerships and other opportunities.
