Your Opportunity Located in Robertson, Triple Care Farm is a Mission Australia residential Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) withdrawal, rehabilitation, and treatment program for young people between 16-24 years Triple Care Farm Withdrawal offers a 10-bed withdrawal program for young people aged 16-24, providing up to 28 days of integrated medical support, psychosocial rehabilitation, and brief treatment. The goal is to empower young people to make informed choices and take control of their lives through comprehensive medical and holistic therapies. The Assistant in Nursing provides comprehensive support to the nursing team in delivering care within a withdrawal environment, working under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). The role involves assisting with complex withdrawals, emergencies, and referrals to NSW Health partners when needed, while closely liaising with the RN on shift to monitor participants' progress and treatment needs. Your key responsibilities will be to: Support the nursing team in delivering care within a withdrawal environment under the direction of the Registered Nurse (RN). Perform direct care activities for residents according to the nursing care plan. Contribute to the collection and maintenance of accurate healthcare documentation. Communicate effectively with residents and healthcare team members to ensure quality care. Provide a range of care and support interventions for young people with complex needs, including medical screenings and withdrawal assessments. Participate in team meetings, group activities, and contribute to the development of the Triple Care Farm (TCF) program. Requirements for Success: Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or equivalent experience, along with a demonstrated understanding of working with vulnerable people. Assist Clients with Medication Certificate A minimum of three years’ experience in the Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) field is desirable. Familiarity with and confidence in working within a harm minimisation framework. Computer literacy. Strong personal effectiveness and team-building skills. Proficiency in relationship management and a strong client focus, with the ability to effectively relate to clients. NSW Driver’s License and current First Aid Certificate. Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
