DIRECTORATE: Infrastructure, Planning and Environment CLASSIFICATION: Grade B SALARY: $61,623 to $71,482 pa 12% employer contribution to superannuation REPORTING TO: Leading Hand Streets and Drains EMPLOYMENT TYPE: Permanent Full Time THE POSITION: Assist with the maintenance and development of the streets, drains, parks, reserves, and landscapes within the City of Albury area. Responsibilities KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist in all operations of early morning cleansing of business districts, including sweeper operation and bin emptying Assist in the maintenance of the streets, drains, parks, reserves, lawn cemeteries, sporting grounds and landscape areas of Albury City. Assist in development projects within the Albury City streets, drains, parks, reserves, cemeteries and landscape areas. Use skills to assist other areas of the Engineering Group. Use all plant and equipment in a safe and competent manner. Ensure all routine maintenance to plant and equipment is carried out. Perform other tasks or duties as directed by the Supervisor which are within the limits of the employee's skill, competence and training. Observe requirements of the WHS Legislation, relevant to the job and adhere to AlburyCity Policies and Procedures regarding WHS. Qualifications KEY RELATIONSHIPS: Internal Our People External General Public EMPLOYMENT CONDITIONS: Based on a 38 hour week, with actual days and times being Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 3.00pm, with an RDO in accordance with AlburyCity’s RDO guidelines. These times may vary due to operational requirements and will be determined by the supervisor. This position may involve work outside normal working hours. Additional hours over the standard 38 hours will attract a time in lieu arrangement or payment of overtime rates as agreed with your supervisor. In line with the provisions of the Local Government (State) Award, this position will receive the Level 2, Adverse Working Conditions Allowance. This position requires you to wear a compulsory uniform as per AlburyCity’s Our People Dress Code Standards. This position involves working in a predominantly outdoor environment where a varying range of temperatures, weather conditions and walking surfaces may be experienced.
