Position Overview: We are seeking a skilled Marine Mechanical Fitter to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance and repair of mechanical systems on a variety of marine vessels. Key Responsibilities: • Fit, assemble, install mechanical components, piping and equipment on marine vessels • Conduct fault-finding, repairs, and preventative maintenance on engines, pumps, valves, and propulsion systems • Work from technical drawings, manuals and engineering specifications • Adhere to safety and quality standards in line with marine regulations • Collaborate with engineers, welders, and other trades as part of a multidisciplinary team Skills and Experience: • Minimum 2 years of experience within a marine, welding or fabrication environment. • Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail • Excellent work ethic and commitment to safety Qualifications: • Trade Certificate in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting and Machining) or equivalent • Current Construction White Card • Valid C-class driver’s license • Ability to obtain or hold a valid National Police Clearance • Confined Space, Working at Heights or other certifications highly desirable What We Offer: • Competitive salary and benefits package. • On-the-job training for the right candidate. • Bonus incentives. • Opportunities for professional growth and development. • A supportive and collaborative work environment.
