As the Yardsman you will support the sales & warehouse teams in all aspects of delivering a quality service for customer purchases and maintain a tidy workplace in the warehouse. Responsibilities Delivering excellent service to trades people and customers Maintain a safe work environment Find solutions for customers where possible and escalate any issues Stock Ordering Stock Control Dispatch (pick & pack) of orders/deliveries Receival of orders/deliveries Loading and unloading of truck/s Yard Maintenance Communication with staff, customers & management Take direction and show initiative Attention to detail of codes Selling the Company’s products and services Complete all paperwork relating to sales & warehouse work areas Driving a Forklift an advantage (licence required) Knowledge, experience and attributes sought Sound understanding of the materials and building industry Previous experience in similar role Ability to build rapport with customers Be able to communicate delays in delivery of products and orders Current driver’s licence Forklift licence – highly desirable Previous customer service / sales experience Physically fit to be able to pass a pre-employment medical as required Exceptional work ethic Excellent customer service rapport Ability to work independently and within in a team. Ability to take directions and execute them.
