An understanding of organisational internal controls and governance oversite in a 24/7 operational environment. Knowledge and skills in the analysis of data, the understanding of business systems and processes and in the provision of budget and activity reporting to meet the needs of the centre. An ability to rapidly acquire a sound working knowledge of electronic business systems and reporting tools. Risk assessment and management identification and analysis. High level written and oral communication skills together with interpersonal skills, including the proven ability to negotiate to achieve difficult and conflicting objectives and liaise, consult and negotiate with senior staff and other key stakeholders to resolve significant resource issues. An understanding of staff management and experience in contemporary human resource management practices. Knowledge and skills in resource management, including strong ability in the areas of managing resources, budget management, objective setting and monitoring, coaching and performance feedback. Understanding of the financial pressures and constraints that impact service delivery and the capacity to recommend courses of action which achieve optimal outcomes within those constraints.
