No matter what the future holds, we’re in it together. Our graduate program As a Graduate at Allens, you’ll complete two 12‑month rotations in different practice areas. We don’t work in silos, so you won’t be limited to working with only one partner or by your practice areas. There’s no substitute for the depth of insight that comes from working with different teams. You’ll be involved in some of the market's most complex domestic and global transactions. And, you’ll have the opportunity to apply for a client secondment, or international secondment to London or Asia via our Linklaters alliance. During our graduate program, you’ll learn from some of the sharpest legal minds in Australia. We’ll work with you to develop your understanding of commercial law and build your skills, providing the foundation you need to become a successful lawyer. You’ll engage with our Allens Academy, which means you'll benefit from a range of personalised tools and training to unlock your potential including: Supporting you to meet your admission requirements by enrolling you and supporting you to complete the Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice program, with admission typically taking place mid-year; A personalised one-week induction program; On-the-job training, supervision, coaching and mentoring. You’ll be in control of your own learning and you’ll have the flexibility to drive your career with support from your Performance Coach (Partner). You will also have the benefit of a buddy (a junior lawyer) who will answer your day-to-day questions and help you settle in; Practical legal seminars through our Cornerstone program; and Access to a range of workshops and online modules, which will support you in developing important business and professional skills. You'll have the opportunity to make a difference by working on pro bono matters and other community initiatives which focus on alleviating disadvantage, advancing reconciliation, improving access to justice and promoting sustainability.
