Description About the Role As a Senior Windows Engineer, you will be a key member of our operational Infrastructure team, responsible for maintaining our Windows-based systems across a complex enterprise environment. This role will have key focus on Active Directory and Entra ID, vulnerability management in Microsoft systems and products, Group Policy Management, Terminal Services and Microsoft SQL. The role will also be involved in supporting non-Microsoft products such as load balancers, web application firewalls etc. General responsibilities for the role include: Provide technical support and assistance to Indue users as well as customers as required; Be a driving force in vulnerability management of the Microsoft technology stack by taking ownership of SCCM, processes and deployment of updates, patches etc; Evaluate, design and plan complex systems from time to time; and as appropriate recommend resource requirements to maintain or enhance service levels and/or system performance; Monitor, manage and report on Indue’s systems using established management tools and procedures; Effectively identify and manage risk associated with the scalability, availability and performance of all infrastructure, including disaster recovery and backup methods; As delegated, implement, test, execute and maintain a disaster recovery plan including backup methods for the IT and network environment; and Liaise with clients and suppliers regarding products, services and support, including obtaining quotes and purchasing both hardware and software. About You You will have all or majority of the following skills and attributes: 5 years of experience in Windows systems engineering within enterprise environments. Advanced experience with: Active Directory and Entra ID including LDAP SCCM Microsoft SQL Microsoft 365 and associated services Windows Server Group Policy Management IIS Virtualization (VMware ESX). Certificate management Demonstrated proficiency in PowerShell scripting and automation. Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred). Solid understanding of networking fundamentals and security best practices including demonstable understanding of TCP/IP, load balancing, firewalls, routing, SMTP, DHCP, DNS etc. Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities Experience with Packer/Terraform/Puppet/Octopus Deploy/Ansible or similar tools along with DevOps practices will be highly desirable.
