The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a Paediatric Speech Pathologist to join our highly supportive and dynamic multidisciplinary who are focussed on delivering high quality clinical service delivery, evidence-based practice and learning, and child and family-centred practice. At MQ Health Kids, we offer a varied and stimulating caseload including young children and adolescents with complex neurological and musculoskeletal disabilities (acquired and congenital), genetic conditions, developmental delay and children presenting with concerns relating to atypical development. As a Paediatric Speech Pathologist, you will deliver evidence-based and goal directed speech therapy assessment and intervention across outpatient and community settings. Within this role, you will also have the opportunity to be involved in service development and allied health student education activities. You will have registration with Speech Pathology Australia, experience in a paediatric setting and work well within an innovative multidisciplinary environment. Given our community service delivery model, there will be travel requirements within work-hours. Access to a car and a current driver’s license is essential. Demonstrated post-graduate experience in providing Speech Pathology services to young children and adolescents in an outpatient and/or community setting. Experience in Augmentative and Alternative Communication is essential; Effective written and verbal communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills; Ability to work independently and within a broad multidisciplinary team; Excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills; Commitment to evidence-based practice, service development and continuous professional development.
